I’m the father of three, husband of one.
I’m a builder of timber frame, log and stone shelters. Usually with my brother.
I’m the owner of a construction company, Traditional Timber Works.
I was born in Arkansas, but grew up in central Ontario.
I left home when I was 16 years old having met that girl who eventually made me her husband.
I met her in Virginia, senior year of high school. I was already building and restoring hewn log cabins.
We’ve lived a few different places. On a lake in the Muskoka region of Ontario. RF in Wisconsin — picked up our first son there.
We’ve lived in a couple different spots on the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Picked up our other two sons, one in each spot.
We’re now in the initial stages of homesteading a tract of land that has been cut off my parents farm in central Ontario.
I did some college, but that’s really beside the point, though I loved it. Fine art and geology.
I’ve always been a builder. I happened to stumble into a niche of the building sector that has shaped my waking life.
More to come…

Chris (me), Tus, Jen, Oak and Cedar -- told you, hippyish.
Could this be someone I know?
I am so impressed, and I see the editorial hand of Jen somewhere in here?
